Two new local mothers meeting each other at a distance with two newborn babies over takeaway coffees. How do they navigate life during the coronavirus pandemic?
I watched these two mothers who appeared so relaxed in conversation. A reminder that there’s no pause button or an intermission. Life has not stopped completely in 2020. Two women who symbolically convey to us that life can continue at a different pace.
As I was creating this work I couldn’t help but wonder how new mothers endure and manage their lives under the Covid-19 restrictions.
The bold colour intended to evoke and compound that uplifting feeling of continuity.
