Rachel was born in Jerusalem, Israel and arrived in Australia in 1970. She received a Diploma of Design and Fine Art at Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne.
I am a contemporary fine artist and I am represented in numerous public and private collections in Australia and internationally. My thematic focus is on the “experience of living in and around the urban environment”.
My art practice is based on investigation, inquiry, and observation in and around my local urban environment.
I aim to discover something that I never anticipated or even imagined. The element of surprise keeps me absorbed through the twist and turns of the unique and illuminating.
Experimentation often takes my art outside what is known and into unexplored territory.
Innovative art methods allow me to explore the wilderness of thought and perception. Enjoy.
