Beautiful Flower
This painting began in 2019 and re-emerged again in November 2020. Employing a collage technique as a new medium has created a totally different sensibility.
A central white Chrysanthemum dominates this composition. In symbolic language it refers to optimism and joy. In November this year I revisited this composition employing a collage technique. Symbolism of a Lama and a butterfly created a further visual interest to accentuate our optimism going forward here in Melbourne. The Lama suggests that whatever loads you are carrying right now, you will be able to manage and see them through.
The blue butterfly creates a metaphor representing a rebirth, transformation,change, hope and life.
