As a local of Middle Park, I witness each year the effort required by the leaf vacuuming trucks to remove the fallen leaves during our Melbourne autumn. These trees are completely bare by winter. However, by springtime, we witness the hints of the approaching summer’s leafy glory that erupt as a ‘guard of honour’. A parade of newly crowned dense green canopy stretches along Richardson Street and continues to inspire in all its changing forms.
Location: Richardson Street nature strip between MacGregor Street and Armstrong Street Middle Park.
