Still, Life paintings can show us a new way of looking at the ordinary objects around us. The vegetables depicted in this painting take on a whole new meaning.

Tomatoes are juicy, full of antioxidants. Tomatoes can be a valuable part of a healthy diet. Inspired by close observation of my daily kitchen routine, a connection was formed in the most ordinary spaces. My question on my mind was how to rediscover the most ordinary vegetable in an unordinary way. The intention is to highlight the notion of healthy nutrition through the genre of Still Life. I have approached this series by employing satire as a vehicle for new considerations.
