Nature Strip and Homeland of The Muse - September 2023

Evocative images have fired up my imagination and their narratives have become the bedrock of story and legend to live our lives ‘coherently’ in our urban arena.

The challenge is to find unity in the diversity of colour and subject matter. Mythology expresses itself in each painting as a poetic symbol and in terms of mythical personalities. Theatrical characters inaugurate a new order which has become a means to understand the urban space.

Colour here is employed boldly with contrasting shapes that create a visual weight and a focal point for the viewer.
