During my walks with my trusted pocket botanist App, I begin to note and identify what tree I am observing. Armed with the App’s artificial intelligence technology, as an artist, I am presented with a deeper insight into our local nature strip frontier. New inspiration begins.

In this series, I have focused on trees found on our local nature strips and their role as local ‘oxygen factories’.

Trees, as figures of nature, have their branches forming beautiful patterns and shapes. The colour and the structure they display help lift the spirit with a new perspective essential to city living.

Tree-themed works on paper erupt in a colour blaze celebrating the earth’s most outstanding production.
