Flinders Street POV - 1 of 3 - Framed

Rovay Gallery, Flinders Street POV (Point Of View) April/May 2020 Exhibition

13 Apr 2020 – 31 May 2020
Triptych. Collaboration with Oren Hipwell, John Hipwell & Rachel Rovay

Artworks in Exhibition

Rachel Rovay invited photographer son, Oren Hipwell and film producer husband, John Hipwell to join her in creating a new perspective of Melbourne landmark Flinders Street Station.
Melbourne’s central station has a powerful identity that is deeply felt by inhabitants and visitors alike.
In lockdown and missing our Melbourne city, it is a poignant time to bring the city to the local community here in Middle Park.
The three of us met at the same time in order to capture a view from the same angle. This included two figures in the middle ground representing the artists as ‘actors’ in the scene.
Through such an enterprise, the intention was to raise visibility through our different mediums.
