Armstrong Street Middle Park. Sitting on a bench and taking a moment’s rest to enjoy the sun.
On an active street corner, a delivery van backed onto the kerb opposite Gum Tree. Boxes loaded onto the trolly on the footpath: the woman and her dog are enjoying the sun on the bench directly opposite the Village Store. I have created paintings around this theme many times from different positions.
Primary colours are employed here for their emotional impact. Pattern and a botanical presence reflect a re-imagine and a re-set of our local urban environment.
