I wanted to capture the temperament of our respective lockdown in Melbourne and bring our notice to the familiar, the ordinary, the commonplace and routine. Eclipsed by bold colour, shape and line, the everyday experience illuminated to reveal the extraordinary. The dog that waits patiently on the footpath and the man holding his groceries have become imbued with meaning that can inspire and provoke thought that can resonate with the viewer.
