Inspired by Francios Boucher’s painting Fountain Of Love dated 1748, I wanted to reference the artist’s organic forms and create an entirely new meaning.
Colour and organic shapes were created through layers of gouache and chalk pastels. Each fold has accumulated its expressive power. Folds and new forms are revealed as a protective outer frame.
