Capturing the everyday and moments in time, living an urban life. These are precious moments in the day-to-day urban existence.
Colour is the language of our feelings and affects our understanding of space and time. Through colour, I define spaces, create a sense of unity and renegotiate a sense of place.
The colour in this work varies between cold and warm, light and dark, dull and intense. This modulation of colour throughout the picture area intends to accomplish new vivid harmonies.
The title for this painting has been appropriated from poetry by Swedish poet Tomas Transtromer who is acclaimed for having captured both the beauty of nature and the mystery that underlies daily routine.
