Without Pier Galleries, Our Melbourne

My paintings and works on paper thematically focus on the experience of living in an urban milieu.

A rich and loaded urban narrative unfolds and evolves on a daily basis within our collective built environment creating a perception of change and expansion. This urban motif is primarily interpreted through the use of complimentary colours and tonal relationships. The pictorial unity and the use of compositional elements denote the significance of the picturesque in my artwork.

Rovay participated in Without Pier's "Our Melbourne" exhibition in Nov-Dec 12. Her works were Inspired by Melbourne's urbanscape.
