Nature Strip and Homeland of the Muse II - A Revisit 2023-2024, April/May 2024

Twelve hues have contributed to the bold and robust contrast affecting each painting. The juxtaposition between the local nature strip and mythic symbolism underscores the connection between urban nature and our urban living. Colour transforms the mundane, unnoticed space into a central stage, inviting the viewer to notice the natural world around them and the impact on their well-being. I am observing nature in the ‘everyday’ way, tuning in, paying special attention to the natural elements and objects around me, and mindfully savouring the pleasure of colour.
