With this exhibition at the Rovay Window Gallery, I intend to push the boundaries of both material and conceptual practice by amplifying new narratives. A bridge formed during my long, slow health recovery, and a new local context emerged alongside global narratives about identity, movement, change, and collective. The language of art has become for me the currency of exchange within my/our community. How do we get our way back to each other in these trying times? With this group of paintings and works on paper, I encourage viewers to see reality with fresh, intense eyes—an unusual perspective on the everyday and the constructed narrative. By disrupting familiar patterns and visual expectations, I invite the viewer to question their assumptions, engage their creativity, and participate in the meaning-making process.
