In this May exhibition selection of works, I examine continuity in place identity and/or what has not changed and how might it change in the future. Place is what we encounter whenever we go outside into the village, a park or an urban neighbourhood. These places in my work were lived in, are lived in, they have names and are filled with buildings, streets and activities. The works selected for this months exhibition are permeated by memories of place, history of place, values and beliefs that lend meaning to the here and now. If you would like to share your local experiences, anecdotes, photos, past and present, I would love to hear from you via my email: rachel@rovay.com
