The works in this exhibition represent the suburb of Middle Park, postcode 3206, the experience, the feeling, and the sensation of place. A regular experience of walking down the street is captured through colour, line, and shape. Middle Park as a subject matter has become part of Rovay’s identity as an artist, a subject matter that is mainly defined by where Rovay lives.

These paintings and works on paper favour contours, patterns, texture and diverse blocks of primary colour, alluding to a sense of Middle Park’s local life, 3206.

A postcode locality that, over the years, has evolved into its own ‘ecosystem’ with its parks, cafes, supermarkets, bars, gym, doctors, and public transport at your fingertips.
