Colour represents the passion I have for my immediate environment.  I have formed a personal relationship with my environment through my daily interactions with the narrative created by our shared experience. A perspective that informs particular attitudes and emotions when painting.  I arrange and orchestrate visual elements of colour and composition, which make each artwork an individual creation.  Light becomes colour, and the manipulation of edge creates the shape.  Colour represents the passion I have for my immediate environment.  These abstract paintings of our local domain correspond to the recent moments and moods we have moved through.  The ‘every day’ life inspires me and the notion of the way we rest, work, reflect, play and love.  This colour world has a positive impact on our humanity and evokes feelings of happiness, optimism, and energy.  For me, colour becomes part of the subject matter and is connected to context.  Each painting presents a distinctive colour world through a kaleidoscopic perspective, association and emotion.  Colour for me, is DELICIOUS!
