Dance has been a universal aspect of the human experience and is part of our collective DNA. Rachel Rovay is introducing a dance theme to this May exhibition - an alliance between dance, culture, and nature. The artist is the dancer performing live to camera, creating the short film Dancing The Tree, currently in post-production through Hipwell International Production Services.

Dancing on the nature strip is Rovay’s connecting path to our urban environment, united by music and rhythm.

These recent works on paper* spring from the intersection of the moving image and the artist’s perception of place. A symbolic cultural dance has evoked a continuum between the digital and the physical manifestation of our perceived urban identity.
